Dog Vaccinations

Vaccinations play a vital role in keeping your dog healthy by preventing serious and potentially fatal diseases. We recommend the C5 vaccine, which protects against Parvovirus, Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis, Bordetella, and Parainfluenza—all highly contagious illnesses that can cause severe illness or death. Puppies should receive three vaccinations starting at 6 weeks old, followed by a booster 12 months after their final puppy shot.

For adult dogs, we advise annual vaccinations to ensure ongoing immunity. While the Parvovirus, Distemper, and Hepatitis components provide long-term protection, the Bordetella and Parainfluenza portions require yearly boosters to prevent respiratory infections like kennel cough. These annual visits also serve as an important opportunity for a regular health check-up.

For dogs at higher risk, we offer the C2i vaccine, which adds protection against Canine Coronavirus and Leptospirosis, diseases that can be severe and even transmissible to humans. Keeping up with vaccinations is the best way to safeguard your pet’s health and prevent the spread of dangerous infections.

Cat Vaccinations

Vaccinating your cat is essential for preventing contagious and life-threatening diseases. We primarily recommend the F3 vaccine, which protects against Feline Panleukopenia (Feline Distemper), Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Herpesvirus. These diseases are highly infectious and can cause severe illness, particularly in kittens and elderly cats.

Kittens should receive their first vaccine at 6–8 weeks old, with additional boosters given every 3–4 weeks until they are at least 16 weeks old. A final booster is required 12 months later to ensure full protection.

For adult cats, we advise annual vaccinations to maintain strong immunity. While some components of the vaccine offer longer-lasting protection, Calicivirus and Herpesvirus require yearly boosters to prevent upper respiratory infections. These annual visits also allow for a comprehensive health check-up, helping detect any early signs of illness.

For at-risk cats, such as those who go outdoors or live in multi-cat households, additional vaccinations may be recommended, such as the FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) vaccines. These diseases can significantly impact a cat’s quality of life, making prevention crucial.

Consultations

Regular veterinary consultations are one of the most important aspects of maintaining your pet’s overall health. Many illnesses and conditions develop gradually and may not show obvious symptoms until they become serious. Routine check-ups allow for early detection of diseases, giving your pet the best chance of successful treatment.

During a consultation, we perform a comprehensive health assessment, which may include:

  • Physical Examination: Checking for lumps, dental health, skin conditions, and signs of pain or discomfort.

  • Weight & Nutrition Assessment: Ensuring your pet maintains a healthy weight and discussing dietary needs.

  • Parasite Prevention: Reviewing flea, tick, and worming treatments to keep your pet protected.

  • Behavioral & Lifestyle Advice: Addressing concerns such as anxiety, mobility issues, and age-related changes.

  • Vaccination Review: Ensuring your pet is up to date with their immunizations.

Annual check-ups are particularly important for senior pets, who may require additional screenings for conditions like arthritis, kidney disease, and diabetes. Early detection allows for proactive treatment, improving both quality of life and longevity.

Even if your pet appears healthy, preventative care is key to avoiding unexpected health issues. Our mobile vet clinic provides stress-free, convenient consultations in the comfort of your home, ensuring your pet receives the best care possible.
